University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC) is actively seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join the largest pediatric hospitalist group within the University of Maryland Medical System—a dynamic team of 19 providers delivering outstanding care to our community.
Job Description
- Robust team model with 2 pediatricians on-site 24/7 – no solo coverage
12-hour shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a) with no call responsibilities
Full-spectrum care
Academic engagement opportunities: Teach and mentor rotating third-year pediatric residents, family medicine residents, and medical students
Epic EMR system for seamless documentation and coordination

Qualifications
- Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
- Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
- Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
- Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
- Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.

Compensation:
- Pay Range: Pediatric Hospitalist Starting base at $95/hour, increases based on years of experience
- Additional compensation options available for discussion include a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a productivity bonus.
