We are seeking a CAD Technician in our Broomfield, CO Location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare/evolve design layouts, create and maintain detail part and assembly drawings using CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
- Review engineering drawing and designs to ensure alignment to established specifications and standards.
- Support engineering teams in the development of electronic packaging, cryogenic, structural, mechanical, fluids and electronic detail parts and assemblies.
- Apply relevant company (design, drafting, parts) techniques to plan, lay-out, and maintain data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly and installation drawings or datasets).
- Identify problems or issues in CAD designs and drawings and provide corrective actions.
- Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders through CAD (Onshape) and Product Data Management (Arena) tools.
You Must Have:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a CAD Drafter.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
We Value:
- Technical degree or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or similar, or, if no degree, 4 years of additional relevant experience.
- 4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry.
- Proficiency or expert knowledge in using CAD tools. Experience with Onshape is preferred.
- Proficiency in drawing generation and release processes.
- Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered products.
- Experience with Onshape CAD and Arena PLM.
- Strong mechanical proficiency and general understanding of manufacturing (CNC, 3D printing, etc.) and mechanical assembly techniques.
- Comfortable with collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Confluence, and Jira.
- Previous experience in supporting the design of electronic packages, cryogenic systems, precision opto-mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Individuals who are results-oriented and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done despite competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
