The Business Analyst I roles within Cision’s Product Management team are key contributors in transforming business and user needs into clear, actionable product requirements. These roles collaborate cross-functionally to support the development and continuous improvement of Cision’s SaaS platform offerings. Analysts drive data-informed decisions, assist in shaping product roadmaps, and ensure alignment with Cision’s strategic goals.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and refining business requirements from stakeholders.
- Support product managers in analyzing customer feedback, market trends, and product performance metrics.
- Develop basic process flows, feature descriptions, and user stories to support development teams.
- Partner with Engineering, UX, QA, and Product to ensure clear handoff and alignment during feature development.
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and product testing.
- Maintain documentation and ensure traceability of requirements across teams.
- Support tracking of product performance using key business KPIs.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 + years of experience in product/business analysis, preferably in SaaS or technology.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban) and product development lifecycle.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Looker, etc.) is a plus.
