What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking a creative and user-focused UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and accessible user experiences across our digital products. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to turn complex problems into elegant solutions that delight users. This is an onsite position based in Fishers, IN.
How you will do it
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative UX solutions.
- Create user flows, journey maps, and interaction models.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure consistency in design patterns and adherence to accessibility standards.
- Iterate designs based on feedback and data-driven insights.
What you will need
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- ·0+ years of experience in UX design or a related role.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX design work and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
Preferred
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $61,000 - 84,000 Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
