What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll join OCC's AI team where you'll contribute to implementing our AI strategy while developing your professional skills. You'll explore new AI technologies and help develop solutions for real business challenges. Working alongside experienced mentors at the intersection of business and technology, you'll learn to build data integrations, optimize systems, and implement AI responsibly. You'll participate in evaluating cutting-edge AI tools to solve business problems, gaining valuable experience in assessing technologies against practical requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
Learn and apply emerging AI technologies to solve business problems under mentorship from senior team members
Participate in proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate AI capabilities to business stakeholders
Assist in building data pipelines that support AI systems while developing your technical skills
Collaborate on integrating AI solutions with existing systems as part of cross-functional teams
Help develop testing approaches to evaluate AI performance with guidance from experienced colleagues
Contribute to establishing responsible AI practices and controls
Support the optimization of AI systems to improve performance through analysis and testing
Work alongside business teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
Develop your expertise by supporting business analysts with their AI and analytics challenges
Create documentation for technical evaluations to build your communication skills
Learn to develop metrics that measure business impact of AI implementations
Gain hands-on experience with various AI tools and platforms
Shadow senior team members during client meetings to understand business requirements gathering

Associate: Perfect entry-level opportunity for recent graduates with AI coursework, capstone projects, or internships
Senior Associate: For graduates with 1-3 years of experience through internships, research positions, or early career roles
Enthusiasm for AI technologies demonstrated through academic projects, hackathons, etc.
Coursework in machine learning, data science, or AI-related subjects
Experience applying AI concepts in academic or personal projects
Ability to connect classroom concepts to real-world business applications
Strong collaboration skills developed through group projects or extracurricular activities
Clear communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to different audiences
Familiarity with agile concepts through coursework or project experience
Analytical mindset and attention to detail demonstrated in your academic work
Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technology landscape
Experience with any relevant student organizations, competitions, or AI clubs is a plus
Technical Skills:
Academic or project experience with Python programming
Exposure to SQL through coursework or projects
Understanding of database concepts from relevant classes
Experience with data analysis tools or libraries (such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar)
Classroom or project exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Familiarity with version control concepts (Git) from coursework or projects
Experience with Jupyter notebooks or similar tools for data exploration
Basic understanding of statistical methods and their application to data problems
Exposure to machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) through coursework
Willingness to quickly learn new tools and technologies with provided training
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with Computer Science, Data Science, and Mathematics or related experience.
Academic research experience or teaching assistantships in relevant subjects are valued
Completed relevant online courses or certifications beyond degree requirements demonstrate initiative
Open to candidates from diverse academic backgrounds who can demonstrate analytical thinking and technical aptitude

Compensation
- The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
- In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.

- All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.
Salary Range
$70,200.00 - $102,300.00Incentive Range
6% to 10%This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
