JOB SUMMARY
The Revenue Cycle Applications Manager is responsible for managing and leading a team of Analysts who support users across the entire Revenue Cycle of Vitruvian Health Care System. This role encompasses the oversight of Epic modules and other applications used for Professional and Hospital coding, charging, billing, and claims management. Additional support of front-end patient access applications and back-office health information management (HIM) applications are also in the scope of the Revenue Cycle Applications Manager.
The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of health care revenue cycle processes and workflows to define business requirements and develop solutions for revenue cycle functions. Collaborating closely with operational leadership, stakeholders, IT teams, and other Epic teams, they will contribute to the design, construction, and implementation of revenue cycle applications for Hamilton Health Care System. Additionally, this position assumes responsibility for staff training, development, and motivation. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, project management expertise, hands-on experience throughout the system lifecycle, and a results-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Remote (work from home), with occasional onsite meetings. Manages the day-to-day activities of the analysts and programmers responsible for all Information Services computer applications. Provides leadership for the staff and ensures user satisfaction for the success and usage of the various applications/systems. Participates on management team and associated Task Forces/Steering Committees. The Manager will focus on: the credibility of the Informatics department internally and externally, successful implementation of systems, developing the infrastructure to support the long term needs of the health system, staff development, customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall direction and information needs of the organization. Assists with the development of the staff and department infrastructure to ensure the department's ability to serve long term information systems requirements. Works closely with other members of management to establish an application roadmap to ensure all applications are kept current. Works closely with other members of management to manage and maintain build standards, inclusive but not limited to testing protocols, operational sign-off, and release management.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or 4 years of related IT experience in a Healthcare Financial environment.
Licensure: Credentials in health revenue cycle or information technologies are preferred. Epic Certification Required (May hire into position without certification, but must attain certification within first 45 days of HHCS sponsored Epic training to continue employment)
Experience: 2+ Years within health care revenue cycle. One (1) year or more of experience with Epic revenue cycle applications (Cadence, Prelude, HIM, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, or Claims). Past experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills: Excellent project management skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated client relationship management skills. A developed analytical ability. Strong interpersonal skills that include negotiation skills, leadership, and ability to motivate others. Strong working knowledge of revenue cycle systems and administrative departments, operations, and core process workflows.
