About the role:
As a result of growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate to join our thriving and innovative Commercial Disputes team.
The team services a broad mix of clients including large corporates, SMEs, high net worth individuals, insolvency practitioners, local councils and government. We are looking for lawyers who have the drive and capacity to succeed in a busy and high-performing practice.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely. Bartier Perry offers structured career progression for those who want it, within a warm, friendly and supportive environment.
About you:
Our ideal candidates possess:
- 3-5 years of post-admission experience with a focus on commercial disputes and litigation
- A detailed knowledge of court practice and procedures
- A good understanding of how to manage different client types, build relationships and grow a practice along with the other senior lawyers in the team
- A willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences and networks
- Experience and enthusiasm participating in the team’s business development program i.e. article writing, attending industry events, hosting seminars and direct client relationship building
- A strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent time management and ability to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
