Summary
This role plays a critical part in enabling logistics automation, with a particular focus on software-driven intelligence powered by enterprise-wide Data Lake architecture. The position is responsible for designing and maintaining data architecture, as well as leading the planning and coordination of data standardization, integration, and utilization to support AI training, operational analytics, and intelligent system deployment. The role also oversees the execution of key initiatives by managing project progress, quality, and risk, while serving as a central communication channel between headquarters and regional subsidiaries to ensure alignment, governance consistency, and successful local implementation throughout the Americas region.
Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning and Execution of Logistics Automation and Intelligence Initiatives
◦ Lead the design and planning of data integration between key logistics systems (e.g., WMS, WCS, TMS), enabling seamless automation across physical operations
◦ Identify and validate AI/ML technologies applicable to logistics and manufacturing, and translate them into data-driven operational models
◦ Define system interaction frameworks that support autonomous material flow, automated work instruction generation, and real-time process feedback
◦ Plan and oversee Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects to validate new automation concepts before scaled deployment across operating sites
◦ Monitor automation readiness across subsidiaries; collect field insights, identify operational gaps, and lead solution development and rollout planning
◦ Collaborate with operations teams to translate on-site process requirements into scalable, data-driven automation models
• Enterprise Data Lake Strategy and Management Framework Design
◦ Design, validate, and maintain scalable Data Lake architecture capable of collecting and integrating structured and unstructured data across enterprise systems (ERP, MES, WMS, TMS, WCS, etc.)
◦ Establish policies for data ingestion, standardization, cleansing, enrichment, and classification—including structured and unstructured data
◦ Design unified meta-data models and taxonomy rules to support efficient data discovery, lineage, and governance
◦ Align with each subsidiary’s IT/operations units to define necessary interfaces (ETL/API) and monitor data delivery consistency and quality
◦ Build the foundation for enterprise-wide data reuse, enabling downstream applications in AI model training, analytics, and decision support
◦ Define and document data ownership, roles, and controls to ensure regulatory and business policy compliance
• Data-Driven Operational Insight and Technology Strategy Development
◦ Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, process risks, and performance gaps using quantitative models and visualization tools
◦ Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics in alignment with business goals, and structure reporting models (BI dashboards, operational alerts)
◦ Build and iterate business cases for technology investment, automation deployment, or system redesign initiatives based on data-backed insights
◦ Conduct market and industry research to identify emerging technologies, digital tools, and automation trends relevant to logistics, AI, and smart factory domains
◦ Plan and coordinate exploratory projects and roadmap reviews with internal stakeholders to align innovation activities with corporate priorities
◦ Establish structured reporting mechanisms to communicate project status, risks, and achievements to upper-level leadership and corporate HQ
• Analyze business workflows and identify process bottlenecks or inefficiencies through collaboration with local teams
• Define and support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, monitoring results and standardizing best practices across subsidiaries
• Serve as a primary coordination point between HQ and regional entities, ensuring clear communication of directives and structured feedback on execution progress
• Manage the execution of ongoing projects by tracking progress, managing dependencies, validating milestones, and compiling annual status reports
• Align project-level direction with broader corporate IT strategies to ensure consistency and strategic coherence
• Prepare structured documentation including meeting notes, issue logs, internal guides, and progress updates
• Assist in the planning and coordination of exploratory projects related to new business models or technical innovations
• Conduct benchmarking of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to identify innovation opportunities
• Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams) for collaboration, documentation, and reporting
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment on technical and operational objectives
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, training sessions, and onboarding of team members or subsidiaries when needed
• Contribute to other assignments as needed in line with organizational goals
Compensation Range
$101,000 - $113,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills:
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques for monitoring system performance and supporting data-informed decisions required
• Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing, logistics, and data-driven process improvement preferred
• Experience in cross-functional data alignment and standardization required
• Knowledge of AI-ready data lifecycle and transformation required
• Proficiency in using AI tools, data processing platforms, and enterprise IT systems to support intelligent automation and analytics rquired
• Understanding of emerging IT trends and enterprise system architecture required
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean: must be able to clearly document and convey ideas, processes, and requirements across teams preferred
• Team leadership and cross-functional coordination: ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse teams including developers, IT staff, and local subsidiaries required
• Strategic thinker with strong planning and analytical skills; effective in communicating insights to various audiences and levels required
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 7 - 10 Years of Direct Experience in IT, Automation, Digital Transformation, and/or AI-Driven Process Innovation Required
◦ 10 - 15 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
• Prior Logistics/Automotive Industry Experience Preferred
• 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
