Description

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for the NSF-funded project: “Preparing High School Students with Autism for the Future of Remote Software Development Work” (NSF Award #2148720). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive, game-based learning tools that prepare autistic students for meaningful participation in the software workforce. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Lead and support research on inclusive software education and neurodiversity. • Design and evaluate technical learning tools for high school students. • Develop and maintain software used in the intervention. • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students. • Publish findings in top-tier venues and assist in proposal writing. • Collaborate with educators, developers, and neurodiverse participants

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Human-Centered Computing, Educational Technology, or related fields. • Strong interest in software development and inclusive education. • Ability to write, maintain, and document code (e.g., in Python, JavaScript, or similar). • Self-motivated and proactive. • Must reside within commutable distance to Clemson, SC, or be willing to relocate.
