Shift: 1.0 Full-time Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p / Hybrid 2 days in Office 3 days Remote

We are seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Clinical Supply Chain Specialist to support our supply chain operations, focusing on commodities, clinical items, and cost management initiatives to maximize clinical value while minimizing costs.

Position Overview:
The Clinical Supply Chain Specialist supports the Clinical Supply Chain Manager through clinical research, implementation, analysis, and analytics. The role emphasizes commodities, low-impact physician preference items, system-wide conversions, standardization, substitutions, recalls, capital and purchased services. The goal is contract maximization and compliance, achieving the highest clinical value at the lowest cost and ensuring effective implementation of decisions. The specialist organizes relevant data, assists with Lumere platform management, documents outcomes, and serves as a clinical resource to supply chain operations. They coordinate and document the activities of Nursing Clinical Executive Supply Committees and subgroups, communicate clinical recommendations, and support the implementation of supply chain initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support clinical research, implementation, and analytics related to supply chain commodities and clinical items.
• Assist with management of Lumere platform processes and accurate documentation.
• Serve as a clinical resource for supply chain operations and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Coordinate and document outcomes and recommendations for commodities, physician preference items, purchased services, and capital equipment.
• Work with Contracting Portfolio Managers and Specialists to initiate and implement standardization and cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new technology opportunities and validate evidence for analysis.
• Partner with Clinical Effectiveness Councils to develop strategies for delivering optimal value.
• Communicate clinical recommendations and support their implementation across entities and supply chain functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support IU Health’s supply chain strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field required.
• Experience:
- Five years of experience in a healthcare clinical setting, preferably acute care.
- Experience in project management, analytics, presentation development, and customer service.
• Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong verbal, written, and strategic/analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with statistical software preferred.
- Proficiency with Supply Chain business systems and tools.
- Ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- May require travel to various locations as needed.
