This is the role
As a Hardware Engineer in the medical device field, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and components, while rigorously assessing risks and ensuring device safety. You will manage design projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design history to support regulatory compliance with standards such as ISO 13485, and IEC 60601.
Your duties will also involve providing ongoing maintenance and technical support for released devices, audits and regulatory submissions. This role requires strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality and patient safety.
This position is based in our Salo office and offers a hybrid working model.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high-quality electronics using Altium software
- Collaborate with software, verification & validation, and subcontractor teams
- Document designs, specifications and changes
- Lead troubleshooting activities in electrical issues Document designs, specifications, and changes to meet regulatory requirements
This is you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Experience in electrical engineering or product development
- Skilled in Altium design software and good documentation practices
- Fluent in Finnish (spoken and written) and ability to work in English
- A driven individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills and knowledge that are a plus
- Knowledge in medical devices and standards
- Knowledge in EMC and ESD testing
- Knowledge in Arduino and telecommunications
- Knowledge in battery powered solutions
