MCB Capital Markets Ltd (“MCBCM”) is the investment banking, proprietary investment and investment management arm of MCB Group Limited (“MCB Group”), the largest banking group in Mauritius. MCBCM, provides a broad range of services, including corporate finance advisory, fund management, asset management, investment dealer, private equity, structured products and registry services. MCBCM is growing constantly and wishes to strengthen its Technology team.

We are on the lookout for:

Job vacancy: Senior Software Engineer 

By joining the team as Senior Software Engineer, you will be called upon to design, develop, deploy and maintain applications/test automations whilst collaborating cross-functionally with other engineers to enhance business efficiency.

In this role you will,

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers to deploy applications;               
• Shape and implement technology / business solutions to contribute to client organization’s competitive differentiation;   
• Help find and implement fixes to allow business to continue to operate in case of system failure;               
• Understand business requirements and translate these into functional applications;                                    
• Proactively assess existing codes to identify possible refactoring opportunities to enhance efficiency, flexibility, security and/or readability;        
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade deployed applications in line with set quality assurance targets and customer expectations;
• Draft and maintain timely updates of detailed technical documentations for ease of future reference;
• Ensure good provisioning and security of the IT infrastructure to support deployed applications;                    
• Assess business processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance efficiency through automation and integration.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of

Either

• A Degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development;

Or

• At least 10 years' relevant experience in software development;

And

• Knowledge of languages and frameworks such as C#.NET, SQL, MVC, JavaScript, Rest API, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework.

A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.
