The Role
This position will act as the Owner’s Representative and will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) aspects of the construction project. Ensuring that contractors adhere to regulatory requirements, Owner expectations, and industry best practices, while fostering a proactive safety culture across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor contractor EHS performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and Owner-specific requirements.
- Support construction safety across all project phases, identifying and resolving EHS risks proactively.
- Advise contractors on implementing best-in-class corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
- Act as a coach and advisor to the contractor’s safety committee, promoting continuous improvement.
- Provide timely and accurate data on contractor EHS performance, including incident trends, metrics, and key indicators to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure EHS KPIs, leading/lagging indicators, and submitted data are complete and reliable.
- Participate in daily site safety walks with contractor safety representatives.
- Lead weekly site safety walks with contractor management and Owner’s project team.
- Conduct monthly EHS audits to evaluate contractor compliance and performance.
- Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of contractor hazard assessments (e.g., MSRA, JHA, ART).
- Lead the creation and documentation of Significant Events (SE) and Significant Potential Events (SPE).
- Immediately escalate non-compliance or unsafe conditions to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure EHS information is effectively communicated across the site.
- Ensure Owner’s construction management team is kept informed of all relevant EHS updates and issues.
- Implement and maintain the “Boots on the Ground” program to enhance field-level safety engagement.
- Support contractor-led safety inductions, workshops, and quality circle observations.
- Promote a strong safety culture focused on proactive risk management and continuous learning.
- Attend progress and schedule meetings to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

Ideally You Will Have:
- 10 years’ minimum experience in plant maintenance or construction in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Experience in Data Center projects will be considered an advantage
