R&T Quality Assurance Analyst - Trust & Safety, Austin

About the Team:
The Search Recommendation and Traffic (R&T) team is responsible for ensuring that all search terms recommended to users are safe and meaningful, guiding them toward content that aligns with their interests while maintaining platform integrity. Our mission is to drive TikTok’s traffic growth while safeguarding our community.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate cases reviewed by BPO sites for accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct workflow and policy trainings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform root cause analyses to improve accuracy, efficiency, and policy application.
- Apply strong judgment to assess trend relevance, timeliness, and safety across sensitive topics, including child exploitation, political and religious views, violence, and adult/sexual content.
- Review large volumes of content with attention to detail and consistency, ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across teams, time zones, and shifts to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- Escalate unclear cases or emerging themes to ensure policies remain relevant and effective.
- Support ad-hoc projects as assigned, including those outside core expertise areas.
