Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in trust and safety, risk management, public policy, government, international relations, information ecosystems, or other related fields.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience preparing briefing materials and communicating topics to executive audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience with domestic or international civics issues and an understanding of how they may impact a global technology company.
- Experience managing rapid-response situations, escalations, or crisis management.
- Understanding of the online information ecosystem, including common product abuse vectors and major safety policy issues.
- Ability to analyze political and societal discourse to understand the context for potential risks to online platforms and inform mitigation strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional and product partners to drive the end-to-end cross company process around key civic events.
- Lead cross-company initiatives and working groups with various teams to drive a cohesive process around key civic events.
- Prepare clear analysis and briefing materials to support leadership in navigating policy issues.
- Analyze geopolitical developments and emerging technologies to anticipate impact on civics features and develop risk profiles.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during escalations and crisis events.
