Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education is seeking an Academic Coordinator. The Academic Coordinator will play a central role in strategizing, implementing, and coordinating CIFLTE's recruitment efforts for its teacher education programs, while also supporting its academic and social activities.

  • Responsibilities:
  • • Develop and implement recruitment plans for CIFLTE teacher education programs
  • • Coordinate program admission and outreach efforts
  • • Provide administrative and organizational support for academic and social events
  • • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to ensure smooth program operations
  • • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Applied Linguistics or related field
  • • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative position
  • • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • • Strong commitment, reliability, and professional work ethic
  • • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive communications with discretion
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • • Doctoral student in Applied Linguistics or a related field
  • • Experience in Language Education and/or academic administration
  • • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • • Track record of efficiency and results-focused performance

Salary Range:

$25/hour, 20 hours/week, up to $26,000/year
