Position Summary:
The Service Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing service-related projects, including equipment repairs, retrofits, preventive maintenance, and upgrades. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and to client satisfaction. The Service Project Manager acts as the liaison between the field technicians, internal teams, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage service project life cycles from initiation through closeout.
- Coordinate field service schedules, materials, subcontractors, and permits.
- Maintain communication with clients throughout the project and ensure expectations are met.
- Prepare project scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Track and report on project progress, issues, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Review job costs and approve vendor/subcontractor invoices.
- Support field technicians with technical or logistical needs.
- Resolve escalated issues quickly and effectively.
- Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in field service or facilities environments.
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems (as applicable).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, ServiceTitan, Salesforce).
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.
