Job Description

The Branch Manager – Christchurch is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the performance and culture of one of Hall’s largest operations. This role requires exceptional leadership, coaching skills, and a strong commitment to developing people, building future capability, and improving culture and engagement. Through strong people leadership, you’ll ensure your teams are equipped, motivated and accountable to deliver against KPIs, while creating an environment where people genuinely want to work.

We’re looking for someone who brings proven success in leading large teams, driving performance and engagement, and developing future leaders. You’ll be used to operating in a fast paced and quality-driven environment, comfortable with ensuring our Health & Safety and MPI obligations are met.

Qualifications

To be successful, you’ll need to demonstrate the following:
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop leaders at multiple levels.
• Skilled in building strong relationships and creating a culture of accountability.
• A solution-focused and practical approach with resilience in a dynamic environment.
• Organised and able to make sound decisions promptly.
• Commercial acumen with a performance-driven approach.

What you'll need to be brilliant:
• 5+ years’ management experience in a complex operational environment.
• Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams.
• Commercial acumen in transport, logistics and/or FMCG environments.
• Strong knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• A track record in delivering financial and business KPIs.
• Exceptional organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• A genuine passion for people leadership and building the next generation of leaders.
