Job Description
The Cath Lab Spec Proc Tech reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The KCH employee assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, behavioral standards and KishHealth Goals into their job performance.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates intraprocedural clinical competency in technical, diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac catheterization/interventional radiological procedures.
- Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills to enhance and encourage collaborative staff and community relationships.
- Under the direction of a Radiologist, Cardiologist, Director of Cardiology Services, and Cath Lab/Interventional Laboratory Supervisor, administer ionizing radiation to patients producing diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical details.
- Performs a variety of procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative.
- This position may include rotation of shifts, weekend coverage and cross training for other modalities.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Vocational/Specialized training, such as related coursework, seminars or certifications
- ARRT registration and licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency or eligible
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year experience in radiology technology
