Meet the Team

You’ll join the PHYMAC MODEM team, which designs digital components of Silicon Labs’ low-power wireless products. Our team focuses on building efficient, high-performance digital systems that enable wireless connectivity across applications such as smart home, industrial IoT, and smart cities. By working at the intersection of digital design and wireless systems, the team plays a critical role in advancing the future of connected devices.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, modeling, and verification of digital blocks for low-power wireless products.

  • Apply RTL design principles and use simulation tools to develop and validate digital logic.

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to translate wireless system requirements into efficient digital implementations.

  • Support integration and testing of digital modules within larger system-on-chip (SoC) designs.

  • Document results and present findings to the team.

Skills You Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with RTL design and associated hardware description languages.

  • Familiarity with simulation tools for digital design and verification.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts.

  • Programming in MATLAB for DSP/Communication systems

  • RTL coding in Verilog/SystemVerilogand Verification using Questa tools

  • Basic programming skills in Python for automation, testing, or data analysis.

  • Understanding of wireless communication standards (Bluetooth/Zigbee/Wi-Fi,etc)

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $79,040 ($38/HR) to $95,680 ($46/HR) USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include a sign on bonus.
