Role

 

As Internal Controls Manager, you help protect the company by making sure key processes and controls work as they should. Your work reduces risk, strengthens operations, and supports smart, secure growth across our global business. You will support the Group Internal Control & Audit Director in this newly created role.

Responsibilities

1. Support Control Reviews in Core Finance Processes

  • Assist in reviewing control documentation and evidence, especially within Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
  • Help identify gaps or weaknesses and track progress on action plans.
  • Prepare summary updates to share findings with senior finance leaders.

     

2. Help Improve and Expand the Internal Controls Framework

  • Work with Finance and other teams to identify where new controls might be needed across other Finance functions (e.g. Tax, Treasury etc.)
  • Support the rollout of improvements by helping document processes and communicate changes.
  • Keep records and templates organized to support future audits and reviews.

     

3. Promote a Culture of Good Controls

  • Help raise awareness across the Finance team about the importance of strong controls.
  • Assist with training and communications to explain what good controls look like.
  • Be a visible and positive point of contact for internal controls questions.

     

4. Contribute to Audit Activities

  • Support the preparation and follow-up of the Group’s internal audit plan.
  • Help coordinate audit logistics, such as gathering documentation or scheduling meetings.
  • Track audit findings and assist in monitoring resolution progress.

     

5. Get Involved in Broader Risk & Compliance Topics

  • Learn about IT controls and help coordinate related information when needed.
  • Support case documentation for whistleblowing or other compliance issues.
  • Assist with risk reporting and project tasks related to internal governance.

     

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Audit, or related field. CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification is a plus. University qualified + preferably post qualified ACA/CA/ACCA (1 year minimum)
  • Experience: 4-5 years in internal controls, audit, finance, or related functions (in industry or consulting).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), finance processes, and risk principles. Knowledge of IT general controls is an asset.
  • Skills: Analytical mindset, excellent communication, project management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., French, Hindi, Mandarin) are advantageous.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
