As a Strategic Buyer, you are a key part of the Global Supply Chain & Procurement team within the Global Operations. This role will be strategic and instrumental in procuring the materials and components to support our manufacturing operations, ensuring we timely meet customer demand. This role involves collaborating with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, manage inventory levels, and streamline purchasing processes. Your organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships will be essential as you oversee purchase orders, delivery schedules, and product costs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
I. Strategic Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate prices, MOQ, lead time and fees with suppliers to achieve the best possible value for the company, and to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring that contracts are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with procurement activities, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks throughout the procurement process.
- Supplier selection analysis, recommendation and onboarding
II. Procurement:
- Execute purchase orders, pull-ins, push-outs, and cancellations
- Data input and maintenance in various systems (ERP, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Inventory planning and optimization (following DDMRP methodology)
- Supply planning and delivery schedule management
- New SKU enablement
III. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Regular communication and meetings with suppliers
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to monitor supplier performance, track key metrics (on-time delivery, cost savings, etc.), and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
IV. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support:
- Provide local support for global development projects, particularly on Taiwan-based ODM projects. Key focus on being OnLogic’s supplier-interface for all development projects.
- Interact with the global finance team for supplier payment and invoice processing
- Respond to and resolve supply chain tickets
- Manage EOL components
- Support engineering changes (ECs) by obtaining updated BOMs and drawings, assessing impact on open orders, inventory and rework fees, and updating ERP data

Members of the Operations team cross-train on multiple disciplines to provide us with unparalleled staffing flexibility and the capability to react to any production demand. Roles on the Operations team include computer production, hardware testing, fulfillment services, supply chain management, product and process quality, production engineering and technical support.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Logistics or related field.
- At least 10 years sourcing/purchasing/supply chain experience.
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.), (MRP and DDMRP) related to procurement; you understand supplier capacity planning and how to build a material delivery schedule based on customer order and inventory stocking level requirements.
- Knowledge of CM/ODM/OEM/COTS, price negotiations, and purchase order creation and management
- Experience and knowledge with computer hardware manufacturing
- Professional Proficiency level of English

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $1,500,000 to $2,000,000 TWD annually. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
