System & Architecture Engineer

DQT: Customer Project - Technical Tendering:
Capture customer needs, define & optimize whole (or part of) technical scope of customer project proposals. Provide technical support to Opportunity Leaders and Tendering teams until project award.

From 3 to 5 years relevant experience - Responsible for providing pre-sales technical support/expertise to assist the sales team in their sales effort •Possesses specialized product knowledge in a single product or product line •Delivers in depth presentations and product demonstrations to clients and sales representatives •May possess some capability for the installation component of product/service solutions and develop prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility of product solutions •May have a continuing role in customer support to address clients’ issues in the usage of organizational products/services

Level: An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: • Works independently with general supervision. • Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Typical Title: Pre-Sales Product Consultant

Commercial and technical proposal preparation

• Comprehensive understanding of project specifications and requirements
• Prepare technical and commercials proposals that meet customers’ requirements, and according to organization’s regulation and guidelines
• Ensure high quality of proposal submissions, accurate costing with optimized solutions that meet the specifications
• Evaluate offer and pricing with necessary costing analysis. Identify and quantify risk and opportunities. Be the owner of the proposed solutions
• Incorporate Gutor proposition values into our offers
• Ensure on time tender submission 

Customer Meetings

• Attend technical bid clarification meetings. Drive and lead technical discussions and closure with customers

• Present and qualify our proposal as the “best proposal” to solve customers’ problems
• Identify and address customers’ concerns 

FEED and customer support activities

• Support customers with sound technical proposals during FEED stage
• Spec-in and qualify Gutor solution as main design reference
• Incorporate and push Gutor value proposition to our customers

Strong cooperation and collaboration with other departments

• Facilitate Quote to Win process
• Support project handover to execution team
• Properly identify risks and opportunities, with mitigation plans
• Support project manager / design engineer during project execution

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED

• Bachelor degree from Electrical Engineering/ or equivalent
• Computer literacy is necessary
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in Tendering, Sales or Engineering / Project Execution
• Posses fundamental knowledge of Electrical engineering
• Knowledge of UPS solution and battery sizing calculations will be an added advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, and confidential environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Open to change and must embrace the concept of continuous improvement
• Competitive and eager to win / refuse to lose attitude
• Resourceful and able to work independently
