Mandarin & Cantonese Interpreters (Remote - Outside China)

1-StopAsia is recruiting Mandarin and Cantonese interpreters to join our global interpreter network and support key clients in the medical and corporate sectors.

This is a structured, compliance-driven opportunity for interpreters with strong professional backgrounds who can meet strict client requirements.

Requirements

Location & Coverage

• Languages: Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
• Location: Must be based outside of China (compliance requirement).
• Time Zones: US East & West Coast coverage required.
• Additional Needs: Occasional MENA (Dubai hours) support on a per-minute basis.

Available Roles

1. Full-Time Hourly Interpreters

• Focus: Medical client (HIPAA-compliant).
• Openings: Minimum 2 Mandarin, 2 Cantonese.
• Onboarding:
• Training: 2 weeks (paid if placed into production).
• Nesting: 1 week (paid for active time).
• Requirements:
• Successful completion of ALTA language assessment.
• Completion of client training.
• HIPAA-compliant home office setup.
• Monthly background checks (Criminal, OFAC, SAM, OIG).
• NDA, strict video environment, and recurring identity verification.

2. Per-Minute Interpreters

• Clients: Multiple corporate clients.
• Compensation: Paid per talk-time minute (no minimum call requirement).
• Schedule: Flexible within US East & West Coast business hours; MENA coverage as needed.
• Volume: Variable traffic with consistent demand for Mandarin and Cantonese.

Compliance & Availability

• HIPAA compliance mandatory.
• Signed NDA and ongoing identity verification.
• Leave Policy:
• Vacation: 2 weeks’ prior notice.
• Sick leave: Doctor’s note required; coverage must be arranged by another approved interpreter.
• Full-time availability is mandatory during training and nesting.
