Role Name: Social Media Assistant

Schedule:

• Part-time, 20 hours per week
• Flexible schedule - results-focused rather than time-focused
• Client Time zone: Pacific Time

Join an exciting and growing photo booth business that's expanding with new services and looking to amplify their social media presence. You'll work with a dynamic entrepreneur who values flexibility and results over rigid schedules, giving you the freedom to manage your time while creating engaging content from amazing event footage and photos. This role offers the opportunity to launch marketing campaigns for new services, build brand awareness across multiple platforms, and help scale a business that brings joy to people's special moments. You'll have access to abundant raw material from real events, making content creation both authentic and visually compelling.

Responsibilities:

• Create and edit reels from provided video footage and event photos
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns for new service launches
• Manage Instagram account with cross-posting to Facebook
• Schedule and publish social media content strategically
• Add text overlays and basic graphics to video content as needed
• Develop content strategy based on algorithm understanding
• Eventually expand to LinkedIn management and content creation
• Provide recommendations on posting timing and content types
• Work independently to deliver agreed-upon content quotas

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of social media marketing experience
• Background from marketing agencies or similar marketing department roles
• Experience working with Canadian/North American market preferred
• Proficiency in video editing and content creation tools
• Ability to work with raw video and photo materials
• Experience with Canva and basic graphic design tools
• Knowledge of social media scheduling and strategy
• Self-motivated and results-oriented work style
• Excellent communication skills for ongoing collaboration
