Nursing Service Tech | Float Pool

Summary

• Perform routine treatment procedures as directed.
• Assist Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures.
• Maintain traction supplies including traction cart every shift.
• Complete all equipment set up as directed.
• Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.
• Communicate any patient complaints of pain to patient’s nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator.
• Assist in accompanying patient in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide and assist with personal care as necessary such as bathing, dressing etc.
• Assist with patient care, such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, etc.
• Under supervision, perform general care activities for patients in isolation.

Schedule

• 60 hours every 2 weeks.
• Rotating day, evening and night shifts 
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

Pay And Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $18.43 per hour and increases with experience.

• This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.
• Pay range: $18.43 to $24.44 per hour
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.
• Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred.
