We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Assistant, Lounge & Sleep to support the design team in creating innovative, trend-forward collections that reflect the SKIMS brand vision.

 

Position Overview

The Design Assistant, Lounge & Sleep will provide day-to-day support to the design team, assisting in research, sample management, technical sketches, and seasonal development for lounge and sleepwear categories. This is an exciting, hands-on role for someone looking to grow their career in fashion design, while contributing to a fast-paced, creative team.

Key Responsibilities

·      Support the design team with CAD sketches, line sheets, and presentation materials.·      Track and manage samples from development through production, ensuring accurate labeling and organization.·      Prepare and update tech packs with accurate specifications for internal and vendor use.·      Assist in fittings, take notes, and support communication between design, technical design, and production and other cross functional teams. ·      Organize seasonal design boards and maintain visual overviews for the lounge and sleepwear categories.·      Provide administrative support, including vendor communication, calendar management, and product data entry in PLM systems.·      Maintain and update design documents and tools.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

·      Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.·      0–2 years of experience in apparel design (internships acceptable).·      Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office; PLM experience preferred.·      Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and technical design processes.·      Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.·      Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.·      Passion for innovation, trend forecasting, and the SKIMS aesthetic.
