All about the role:

We are looking for a Lead C# .NET Backend Engineer to guide and grow our backend development team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both technical leadership and people management, driving the long-term direction of our backend platforms. You’ll play a key role in shaping our backend architecture and ensuring high-quality delivery across the team. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Lead the team: Manage and mentor a group of backend engineers, supporting their growth, performance, and well-being. 

• Drive backend excellence: Lead the implementation of complex features and enhancements across our .NET-based platforms. 

• Collaborate across teams: Partner with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing services. 

• Shape technical direction: Contribute to backend architecture and influence decisions on scalability, cloud integration, and maintainability. 

• Mentor and support peers: Provide thoughtful code reviews, share expertise, and help foster a strong engineering culture. 

• Foster a culture of learning: Encourage innovation, experimentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.   

What We’re Looking For: 

• 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience. 

• 10+ years of backend development experience, with a strong track record of shipping high-quality, scalable applications. 

• Expert-level proficiency in C# .NET (Core or Framework), ASP.NET MVC, REST API, and related tooling. 

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem. 

• Experience working with Headless CMS platforms (preferably Optimizely CMS or Sanity CMS), including data modeling and integration. 

• Experience with React JS is a plus. 

• A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills in English and attention to detail. 

• A track record of mentoring and developing engineers, with a supportive and communicative leadership style.
