The Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for supporting the entire INTEGRIS Health system and affiliate’s Patient level data. The Data Integrity Analyst oversees Enterprise Master Patient Index, facilitates chart correction synchronization in the electronic medical record and with other patient integrated applications throughout the system. This role performs advanced health information management activities and requires strong analytical, technical, and customer service skills as well as the ability to interpret and apply policy and regulatory requirements.

The Data Integrity Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Maintains the enterprise master patient index by reviewing and intervening to resolve duplicate patients as necessary.
  • Monitors patient overlays created by system end-users to ensure adequate patient identifying information in the legal medical record (LMR).
  • Determines best means to deploy chart correction support across all position disciplines.
  • Works with information technology team to validate new patient population loads in a structured manner and document results. 
  • Guides Amendment Request correction process in the EHR and other clinical applications from submission to resolution.
  • Completes Root Cause Analysis with department managers to prevent future error recurrences.
  • Builds and maintains positive working relationships with INTEGRIS teams who utilize, interact with, and support the medical record and associated applications.
  • Acts as a key stakeholder in partnership with Privacy, Compliance, and Revenue Cycle in potential and confirmed identity theft processes and resolution of such matters.

The Data Integrity Analyst reports to the department Manager or Director. This position may have required on call hours and additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Normal office environment. When working in clinical areas, potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Must follow standard precautions.   • Bachelors degree in HIM or healthcare related field with 3 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree in HIM or healthcare related field with 4 years of relevant experience; or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CHDA, or CHAM certification preferred and may substitute for experience required above.
  • AHIMA Patient Identification & Matching microcredential preferred. 
  • Advanced and working knowledge of EHR systems and knowledge of Epic system preferred.
  • Attention to detail, advanced problem solving and high analytical skills required.
  • Ability to interpret technical and medical jargon and translate abbreviations into their expanded forms.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission standards, and other healthcare regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to new technologies.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
