Cnc Programmer Job Summary
The CNC Programmer sets up and operates CNC machinery to produce components based on detailed specifications and job orders. The role includes quality inspection, tooling adjustments, and basic programming input, contributing to high-performance manufacturing.
Cnc Programmer Responsibilities
- Perform CNC machine setups using vises, rotaries, and fixtures
- Input computer commands to retrieve stored part data and program layouts
- Operate CNC machinery using Fanuc, Haas, or Mitsubishi controllers
- Inspect parts using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Perform basic coding for feed rates, spindle speeds, and cutting tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all PPE policies
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
- Support team productivity and communicate issues to supervisors
- All other duties assigned by management
Cnc Programmer Skills And Competencies
- Demonstrated knowledge of CNC machining principles
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math
- Proficient with calipers, indicators, and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and operational awareness
Cnc Programmer Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery
- Familiarity with CNC programming basics preferred
- Ability to be trained on specialized or advanced equipment
Work Environment
Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing areas, including exposure to loud environments, weather-related extremes, and airborne particles.
