National Accounts BDM – Cabinet Hardware

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, is seeking a Business Development Manager to provide sales management of cabinet hardware within an assigned geographic region. Candidates should possess strong experience and knowledge of CABINET HARDWARE as they will be the driving force to help the company reach targeted goals.

Travel is required for this position and will be about 15%. More if needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include the following.

• Development, launch, and execution of new cabinet hardware programs at Lowe’s.
• Inventory forecasting and management of all cabinet hardware supply chain matters. Work cohesively with purchasing and DC Operations to ensure POS trends are accurately reflected in inventory levels
• Review POS trends and recognize areas for improvement. Develop new skus/items to replace poor performing pieces that meet current market trends
• Lead collaboration with Lowe’s merchant in quarterly reviews and annual PLRs. Develop product strategy and promotional calendar based upon this collaboration.
• Continuously fill the product pipeline with new product opportunities
• Collaborate and work side by side with Dimora to review market trends and product launches – determine items that can be designated for sale to the home center channel.
• Provide educational training on use and specification of products to all customers.
• Develop online content and imagery – continue to tweak and enhance
• Develop exit strategies for poor performing items and work with finance team to budget markdown dollars
• Review product margins and overall profitability of line on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Attend customer location on at least a quarterly basis as well as attend Lowe’s Store Manager’s Meeting and Building Futures event.
• Assist in the development and launch of fixtures and other merchandising vehicles.
• Other tasks assigned by manager and organization

Desired Skills And Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specific experience in the cabinet hardware industry. 
• Goal oriented and self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Suite applications. 
• SAP experience is necessary
• Salesforce experience is a PLUS.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as margin, percentages, turns, run rates, and GMROI.
• Must have a have a valid license, current insurance, and acceptable driving record.
