Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement of mechanical components, raw materials, and electrical parts as per the production requirements.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure material compatibility and vendor compliance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for quality, cost-effectiveness, and lead-time efficiency.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Generate RFQs, compare quotations, and prepare cost analysis for management approval.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, and after-sales support.
  • Track and monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, ISO standards, and audit requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of raw materials (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.)
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components
  • Ability to read technical drawings and BOMs

Soft Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and multi-task under pressure
  • Preferred Systems: Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and MS Excel
