In this role, you will:
- Provide engineering services to safely meet the Lancaster Mill business plan by providing engineering support to production, maintenance and administrative departments to achieve plant goals.
- Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations and related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering/design, manufacturing and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project close-out.
- Assist production, technical and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective, particularly in the incumbent's specialized technical field of expertise.
- Participate in the annual development of the plant's three year budget process through scope development, solicitation for quotes and generation of the related project description and budget cost.
- Develop a core cross-functional project team, generate detailed project specifications & Scope of Work in order to solicit all project cost estimates, generate detailed project progress schedule, prepare and submit for approval funding request (RFA).
- Other duties as assigned
- BS In Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of experience in project engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing
- 8 years of experience in project management
- Possess a reasonable understanding of environmental control technology and production process with potential to impact the environment.
- Experience in metals industry
