Job Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line IT support to end-users via phone, email, or in person, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support and maintain enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, ERP systems, and other local business-critical applications.
  • Assist in setting up, configuring, allocating, and retrieving IT equipment and devices for employees.
  • Perform routine maintenance, software installations, and updates on company devices and systems.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment repairs and support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes by setting up user accounts, access permissions, and necessary IT resources.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and user instructions to support knowledge base development.

Person’S Profile

  • A bachelors’ degree in Computer science or related field from a recognized institute
  • Advanced diploma in Computer science, Networking, or a related field would be an added advantage.
  • Possesses a minimum of 1 year of relevant hands-on IT support experience.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in fast-paced environments.
  • Experienced in supporting enterprise applications including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a user-focused approach to IT support.
  • Quick learner with a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Adaptable team player with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and service delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, VPN support, IP addressing, and DHCP configuration.
  • Skilled in using remote support tools to provide efficient end-user assistance.
  • Familiar with IT administration tasks and system monitoring.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and endpoint protection tools like CrowdStrike (added advantage).
  • Experience or understanding of IT management platforms such as ManageEngine (added advantage).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving user experience.
  • Preferably residing near Biyagama for easy commute and availability.Top of Form
