Brief Job Description:
As a Tax Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting either direct tax (income tax) or indirect tax (sales and use/property/gross receipt) activities. The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain insights into the internal working of a corporate tax department. Therefore, even if a long-term career in tax isn’t the goal, this internship will aid in future career path decisions. This is a chance to contribute to meaningful improvements within the organization while developing professional skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: -
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Vertiv core businesses, processes, risks, and internal control activities.
- Execute test procedures in accordance with applicable audit standards and the department’s standard audit methodology.
- Deliver quality results within established deadlines.
- Clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing results of audit projects.
- Provide actionable recommendations to remediate issues disclosed during audits and projects.
- Build trust and effective relationships throughout the organization.
- Comply with internal policies, procedures, and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: -
- Student in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or similar field.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Enthusiastic about accounting, finance, and regulatory subjects.
- Proficient in English, both writing and speaking.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tool, especially Excel.
- Attention to details and process-thinking.
- Organized, independent and self-motivated.
- Willing and able to learn.
- Committed to continuous professional development.
