The Manager, Technical Program Manager for Privacy Infrastructure will be responsible for analyzing complex regulatory and customer expectations in the field of privacy, and for defining and delivering highly scalable, reliable platforms, processes, and systems to meet these stringent standards. We are seeking someone committed to people, technology, and program management. In this role, you will redefine what it means to be “state-of-the-art” while collaborating with skilled engineers and leading a team of Technical Program Managers. As a peer to Engineering Managers, you will play a key role in planning, strategy development, execution, and advocacy—negotiating cross-team dependencies while upholding and representing core Facebook values and perspectives.Manager, Technical Program Manager - Privacy Infrastructure Responsibilities
$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

- Lead cross-functional programs spanning infrastructure, privacy engineering, and product development
- Shape the roadmap and long-term strategy for teams driving privacy initiatives
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, production engineers, data scientists, and analysts across the company to anticipate and address evolving needs
- Forge effective partnerships with Infrastructure teams to collaboratively solve complex software challenges
- Communicate the technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of your team and partner teams to ensure alignment
- rive execution and foster a mindset of ownership within the team
- Build highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems and infrastructure
- Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and developing the best Technical Program Manager talent
- Define and own key metrics and performance indicators
- Responsible for people management of a team, providing performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching, and career growth for direct reports
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience
- 1+ year of experience as a People Manager
- Experience managing an organization of program or product managers, including building and growing the team
- Experience moving large-scale technical or engineering programs or products from inception to delivery, and experience articulating the impact using metrics, growth examples, return, etc
- Experience structuring an organization that optimizes for execution, including attracting talent and building out gaps in the existing team
- Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products
- Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
- Technical knowledge and/or experience in Infrastructure/Backend systems
