Description
The Continuous Improvement Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a continuous improvement strategy throughout our manufacturing facility. This role will lead initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with company goals. Lead, mentor, and coach employees at all levels on the principles and tools of continuous improvement.
· Process Improvement: Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction (Muda), and efficiency gains. Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other problem-solving workshops.
· Project Management: Manage and execute a portfolio of continuous improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results. Utilize project management tools to track progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Data Analysis: Use data-driven approaches to analyze processes, identify root causes of problems, and measure the impact of improvements. Utilize statistical tools (e.g., Six Sigma) to drive data-based decisions.
· Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to build internal capabilities and empower employees.
· Culture & Communication: Champion a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Effectively communicate project goals, progress, and results to all stakeholders.
· Best Practices: Stay current with industry’s best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvement and manufacturing technology.
Safety & Quality: Ensure all continuous improvement initiatives prioritize safety and quality standards
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
· Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing Lean and/or Six Sigma initiatives.
· Certifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is required.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
· Skills:
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing Principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM).
- Proficient in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
