Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the planning and execution of all aspects of Global Strike program quality system support with program management staff, including reporting, analysis and presentation. Examine, analyze and monitor maintenance, quality and material information from multiple sources and maintain program performance trends.
- Implements ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9110 standards in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Prepares and publishes written procedures documenting the quality management system.
- Performs quality liaison activities with customers and suppliers, including coordination and solution of supplier and customer quality issues.
- Ensures all required technical data is made available at all locations and is properly maintained.
- Conducts studies and performs analytical evaluation of production work processes in the development or revision of procedures to be used in mission programs.
- Reviews, analyzes and develops or revises operating policies, procedures and directives relative to internal operations.
- Works with the Reliability Centered Maintenance Manager / Team on trend analysis, identifying Maintenance and Logistical trends.
- Performs facility audits.
- Develops flowcharts to support process development and improvement.
- Participates directly in Safety boards and programs
- Develops and updates internal inspection/audit checklists prior to conducting inspections on the site and department.
- Prepares audit/inspection reports, maintains control registers, establishes suspense dates and performs follow-up.
- Monitors functional area external inspection programs through analysis of their monthly CDRL reports, inspections, and observations.
- Conducts activity, technical, and special inspections.
- Conducts statistical and trend line analysis to support process improvement.
- Participates and facilitates, as required, in process improvement meetings.
- Develops programs as requested by the Program Director to enhance operations.
- Provides departmental reports relating to the quality control program.
- Performs scheduled and random audits on procedural instructions and policies to verify directives are being complied with.
- Assists co-workers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.
- Performs supervisory responsibilities, if required, for subordinate employees, including recruiting, selection, discipline, appraisals, and training.
- Performs quality review of proposed contract changes, modifications, subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Assists in preparation of Company proposals to Government solicitations in the areas quality.
- Other program-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree plus six (4) years of related experience in quality management in an FAA and DoD/Government contract setting
- OR Associate Degree plus ten (8) years of related experience in quality management in an FAA and DoD/Government contract setting
- OR High School Diploma or Equivalent plus Ten (10) years of related experience in quality management in an FAA and DoD/Government contract setting.
- Intimate knowledge of US Air Force regulations/operations/systems a strong plus
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.
- General knowledge of continuous improvement methods and techniques.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, data and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP is a plus.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills for interaction with management and the customer.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Familiarity with Government Contracting and/or Service Contract Act.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a customer facing role and as a collaborative member of a diverse team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time efficiently.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, including travel to international locations.
Physical Requirement/Work Environment:
Work is generally conducted in an office or shop environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out of doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work could require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; prolonged standing; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE may include but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
