As a Wire Harness Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and integration of electrical systems within our vessels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

As a Wire Harness Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and integration of electrical systems within our vessels, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Wire Harness Assembly: Construct, route, and install wire harnesses according to engineering schematics and specifications.
- Component Integration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to integrate wire harnesses into various components of the vessel, such as propulsion systems, sensors, and communication devices.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed wire harness assemblies to verify accuracy, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to wire harnesses during assembly and testing phases, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of wire harness assembly procedures, modifications, and testing results to facilitate future reference and continuous improvement efforts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical technicians, and project managers, to achieve project milestones and deliverables within established timelines.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in wire harness assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, and connector termination, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a demonstrated track record of success in assembling and integrating complex electrical systems.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and precision, with the ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced startup environment, with a proactive and can-do attitude.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or coursework in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a technician or assembler, preferably in a high-tech or aerospace environment.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- IPC-620 WHMA is a plus.
- Soldering is a plus.
- Moderate computer proficiency (Excel, Slack, Email).
- Familiar with proper use of DMM (Digital Multi Meter).

Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
