Data Solutions Analyst

Overview

As a Data Solutions Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s data management and metadata initiatives. You act as a trusted expert and advisor, partnering with business and technical teams to define, implement, and maintain robust data and metadata standards. You will support collaborator involvement, implement innovative metadata management tools, and advocate for quality controls that improve data integrity and compliance. You Have: (Qualifications)

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in metadata management, data governance, or data solutions consulting
  • Solid comprehension of metadata standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines
  • Hands-on experience with metadata management tools and technologies
  • Ability to analyze and define quality controls for critical business data
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams (IT, business, analytics, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Tableau, Python and SQL skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

You Will: (Responsibilities)

  • Maintain and implement metadata standards and policies that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate stakeholder partnerships, proactively maintaining expectations, negotiating deliverables, and establishing value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of metadata, including data dictionaries, data models, and other metadata artifacts
  • Implement metadata management tools and technologies to support metadata creation, maintenance, and enforcement
  • Define quality controls with business and IT that ensure accuracy of critical data
  • Facilitate issue resolution and work to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and risks
  • Collaborate across multi-functional teams like D&AI Solutions, IT, and Business Lines to ensure that metadata requirements are a coordinated process in product builds
  • Develop and maintain metadata-related documentation, including metadata policies, training materials, procedures, and guidelines
  • Communicate openly to ensure collaborators are appropriately informed and effectively manage risks
  • Advise on data governance, privacy, and compliance matters
  • Lead and participate in training sessions and workshops for collaborators on metadata processes
  • Continuously monitor and assess metadata processes, recommending enhancements to support organizational goals and regulatory compliance

Location

  • Hybrid: Work with Three days a week at a Guardian office in New York, NY, Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem. PA
  • Occasional travel to client or stakeholder sites may be required

Salary Range:

$93,080.00 - $152,915.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
