The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
Engineering and Technology Application Services (ETAS) has an opening for a Digital Strategic Transformation Lead o be responsible for leading a team to partner with digital technology and global engineering groups to evaluate technical roadmaps into reality through implementation and adoption. This role should interface with any roles required, expecting including Engineering (Digital, Systems, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, Electrical, Architecture, Quality, Configuration Management, etc) but also Operations or Supply Chain, Program Management, Digital Technology, or other groups to ensure alignment and prioritize which new technologies to explore to ensure enterprise solutions for consideration and business usage.
This role expects a strong understanding of the processes used in the end-to-end engineering process (bid to field support) across different domains, which knowledge of the different tools and technologies used throughout. A passion for adoption of digital thread and model-based engineering practices and standards will be beneficial. This position does require travel of potentially up to 25% of your time.
What you will do:
Lead a team to prepare strategy to transition from current processes/tools across the enterprise or business units, including implementation and adoption
Partner with cross domain organizations to facilitate alignment of strategic and tactical roadmaps for leadership buy in
Explore, interrogate new technologies to be used in enterprise solutions for ART execution and business usage
Support digital transformation initiatives across program lifecycle phases
Model the RTX core values: trust, respect, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering technical growth, agile mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and high-performance culture.
Qualifications you must have :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience with a large company
Experience leading technical teams.
Digital Threads, Model Based Engineering, Digital Engineering, and how they span different engineering and other business functions
Experience with digital transformations and large-scale systems implementations
MS Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Qualifications we prefer:
Experience with Digital Engineering or Model Based Engineering concepts in a large enterprise organization or the US Aerospace and defense sector
Knowledge and experience with managing PLM and CAD systems
Role model in exhibiting and intentionally developing leadership behaviors in yourself & others by Driving Results, Instilling Trust, Collaborating and
SAFe or similar agile certifications
10+ years leadership experience
Experience building and leading diverse, geographically distributed teams.
Understanding of how digital engineering applies to requirements, cost analysis, business processes, and sustainment

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
