About the location:
A unique property, the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is tucked away in the secluded Petite Anse bay on the southwest coast of Mahé, the Seychelles’ largest island. The pristine Petite Anse beach and largely untouched natural landscapes, provide all who visit a sense of escape, adventure and discovery. From here you can easily get to know local Seychellois culture at nearby Victoria Market, Takamaka Rum Distillery or Jardin du Roi Spice Garden, or venture by boat for guided day trips to other remote islands such as Praslin or La Digue.
What you will do
Leadership
As the Commercial Director you will build, lead, coach, train and develop a strong team, incorporating existing talent and recruiting new team members where necessary.
Your craftmanship will help balance the specific needs of sales and marketing staff by building a positive and creative work environment.
Build trust and confidence with stakeholders, including ownership and home office. In conjunction with the General Manager provide direction on pricing, Revenue Management, MarCom, Rooms and Catering sales strategy and tactics.
Internal Communications
This is a highly visible role which requires for you to develop a dynamic and open communication process between all parties to ensure that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per occupied room. You will actively participate in regular revenue meetings to drive hotel revenue generating plans and engage in all forecast meetings including ensuring effective communication with all sales support system.
Maximise Revenue / Revenue Management
Understands the different needs of market segments and implement strategies/programs as appropriate to maximize revenue generation and profitability.
Builds and maintains Optimal Business Mix, strong revenue generation efforts in all areas including Spa, Restaurants and Bars.
Leader of revenue generation strategy and culture; ensure there is a culture focused on revenue management within the two resorts.
Understands revenue management logistics and revenue management accountability.
Marketing
Develop and implement the Annual Marketing Plan and budget process.
Analyse the property’s USPs and identify the direct sales, advertising, and public relations programs necessary to attract targeted sources of business.
Develop marketing programs consistent with Four Seasons style and positioning, ensuring compliance with brand policies and guidelines.
In conjunction with Director of Sales, identify sources of business available to the hotel and establish priority marketing.
Review and monitor competitive hotels to ensure product and service offerings position property for competitive advantage.
Keep abreast of market trends and respond as needed.
Initiate and supervise the implementation of all sales and marketing office procedures and ensure resort is in compliance with all Four Seasons Sales and Marketing Minimum Operating Standards.
Manage resort presence and content across all communication channels, both brand and third-party platforms.
Public Relations
Develop Public Relations Strategy and oversee updates and execution in conjunction with PR Director, agency or corporate PR support.
Craft Social Media strategy and distribution outlets with PR Director.
Develop the Sales and Marketing budget in conjunction with the Annual Marketing Plan and Minimum Operating Standards.
Sales
Provide "Two up" sales assistance for all key accounts, where relevant and participate in deployment decisions and yield decisions as appropriate.
Ensure fluid communication with WSOs regarding market changes, business needs and priorities.
Develop and approve sales travel budgets.
Establish goals and monitor performance to meet property revenue objectives.
Review the performance of each salesperson and approve quarterly and annual incentive results.
Develop and maintain a succession plan for management positions in Sales, Reservations, Public Relations and Revenue Management.
Travel as required.

Revenue management practices.
Property pricing strategies including.
Revenue channels, OTA, Wholesale, digital, etc...
Knowledge of Corporate marketing resources and allocation: people and expertise including sales network, marketing communications and PR support.
Luxury traveller preferences.
Competitive environment, competitive marketing practices and advantages.
Marketing Communications includes but is not limited to search marketing, direct marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, print and display advertising.
Knowledge and appreciation of both video and still photography production and ability to evaluate which support brand DNA.
Key Functional Competencies

What You Bring
University or college degree, preferred Marketing or Hospitality emphasis important.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a related position.
Extensive luxury resort experience dealing as a Commercial Director preferably with accountability of handling multiple P&L.
Schedule & Hours
This position is a full-time role. Candidates must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
