Job Description:
Roles Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the SVP, Healthcare Strategy, the newly created AVP, Healthcare Strategy will support the develop of long-term strategy and diversification plans for the Health & Wellness Platform. As a member of the Platform Strategy team, this role will engage across the Business Strategy & Development (BS&D) function and play a role in support of M&A strategy, strategic partnerships and venture investments teams.

Essential Responsibilities:
Partner in the development of agenda and materials for the Synchrony Executive Leadership Team, Health & Wellness CEO and SVP, Strategy & Initiatives for Health & Wellness to identify and assess growth and new business opportunities to accelerate growth for the Health & Wellness platform
Help to develop the vision of the competitive landscape and trends on Healthcare and Healthcare Payments with recommended strategies
Research and communicate news and competitive insights to the Health & Wellness organization
Work with the Health & Wellness organization to translate strategies into targeted actions and programs that result in growth
Partner with M&A, Ventures and other stakeholders to define and execute an aligned acquisition/partnership strategy
Lead and deliver other key projects as requested
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred with 3+ years’ experience in financial services or healthcare
1+ year experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning or other business strategy related roles
Proficient in the use of MS Office product suite with advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to lead problem solving for complex business issues and work with multiple stakeholders and view points
Experience in developing data-driven perspectives and presenting insights to business leaders
Desired Characteristics:
Strategy consulting experience
Experience in Financial Services, specifically credit cards
Strong quantitative skills with experience creating data-driven recommendations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional presentation skills and high emotional intelligence
Experience partnering cross functionally and influencing at all levels of the organization
Flexible, collaborative approach and positive attitude
Entrepreneurial mindset
Project management skills with ability to manage multiple programs through a team-based approach in a fast-paced environment
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
