Data Analyst 2 - Supply Chain Technology - HYBRID

Job Description

Join our Supply Chain Technology team within the Merchandising, Inventory, and Supply Chain technology organization (MISC), where we focus on delivering scalable, data-driven solutions that power Nordstrom’s end-to-end supply chain. This role supports the development and implementation of technology-enabled capabilities that enhance visibility, agility, and performance across our supply chain network. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and transforming supply chain data, building analytical tools, and implementing metrics and KPIs that support technology driven planning, automation, and optimization. You will collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and data science teams to deliver solutions that enable smarter, faster decision-making across the supply chain. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Technology.

A day in the life…

• Deliver data products including dashboards, analyses, and insights that support supply chain technology initiatives such as automation, system integration, and real-time visibility.

• Partner with supply chain and technology stakeholders to identify performance gaps and build tools that support diagnostics, forecasting, and scenario modeling.

•Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop scalable, end-to-end data pipelines and analytics platforms.

• Support the implementation of best practices, standards, and governance for supply chain data and technology solutions.

• Provide high-quality recommendations to improve system performance, data quality, and operational efficiency.

• Drive adoption of enterprise-wide supply chain KPIs and technology-enabled planning tools.

• Present insights to leadership through compelling, data-driven storytelling.

• Contribute to broader Supply Chain Technology initiatives that align with Nordstrom’s strategic goals.

You own this if you have…

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related experience required.

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in supply chain, logistics, or technology environments.

• Proficiency in SQL and ability to productionalize scripts for recurring technology and operations analyses.

• Experience integrating data from multiple systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP, APIs) and blending for holistic analysis.

• Intermediate knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python or R) for automation, data engineering, or advanced analytics.

• Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics to support system performance analysis and optimization.

• Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau to create intuitive dashboards for monitoring and decision support.

• Experience summarizing large datasets to highlight key technology and supply chain insights.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

• Experience with data governance and supply chain technology platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, SAP, Manhattan, custom-built systems) is a plus.

• Familiarity with operational and financial KPIs relevant to supply chain and technology performance is a plus.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$87,500.00 - $145,500.00 Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
