The approximate date of this internship is January 2026 to May/June 2026 and will be located in Orlando, FL.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern who will work within the department responsible for mechanical engineering including design, analysis, calculations, modeling and specifications for building HVAC systems and plumbing; compressible fluid and cryogenic systems and central energy installations for an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project. - Be responsible for entry level mechanical engineering design and calculation tasks
- Make decisions within established guidelines and provide, under supervision, engineering design and analysis in support of the production of construction contract documents
Required Qualifications & Skills
- General knowledge of the mechanical engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics and air conditioning
- Knowledge of heating/cooling load and energy calculations and basic mechanical engineering calculations
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD technology, Revit experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Active membership in ASHRAE
- Engineer-in-Training certified
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
