The Right Profile
As the FP&A Business Partner, you’ll provide financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while identifying opportunities for process improvements. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure financial objectives align with operational goals, helping the organisation achieve sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and variances to support informed decision-making.
- Developing accurate financial models, forecasts, and presentations to guide budgeting and scenario planning.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to align financial objectives with strategic goals and evaluate new projects, products, and initiatives.
- Monitoring budget-to-actual performance, identifying risks or opportunities, and recommending adjustments.
- Providing actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
- Analysing market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor data to inform business strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Maintaining strict standards for data security, confidentiality, and risk management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, including financial modelling and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Background in dynamic environments, ideally within technology, financial services, or investment-related industries.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CFA (or working towards one) is highly regarded.
