Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your AutoCAD expertise with meaningful infrastructure work that directly impacts communities. You’ll be creating technical drawings and plans for wastewater disposal projects, working with council requirements and approval processes while having the opportunity to grow into client communication and project management responsibilities. Responsibilities

Create professional technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software for wastewater disposal projects
Import and scale maps from council websites and planning documents to develop accurate site plans
Collaborate with field teams to incorporate on-site data and measurements into design work
Prepare technical submissions for council approval processes across various Australian jurisdictions
Manage customer communication regarding design amendments and modifications via email
Review and implement customer feedback to refine and adjust technical drawings
Sort and prioritize incoming project-related correspondence and amendment requests
Develop independence in handling routine design changes and customer interactions
Provide administrative support for project coordination and management tasks
Assist with basic data analysis and reporting activities under guidance as the role expands

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD software with experience in technical drafting and design
Experience working with site plans, maps, and scaling technical drawings
Strong written communication skills for professional client correspondence
Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical modifications
Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and administrative capabilities
Interest in learning about wastewater management and Australian council approval processes
Self-motivated with ability to work independently after initial training period
Commitment to full-time availability and professional growth within the organization
Willingness to expand skills into complementary areas like data analysis and project administration
