Description

The Department of Economics invites applications for a one-year term contract with the possibility of renewal appointment beginning Fall 2025. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. Candidates with research and teaching interests in all fields of economics will be considered. We are especially interested in applicants interested in teaching introductory economics courses: the successful candidate will teach an Introduction to Economics course that combines micro- and macro-economics and a lower 200-level course in their field of interest. The successful candidate may also teach a lower 300-level tools-based course based on their expertise, with examples including advanced econometrics, advanced microeconomic theory, and game theory. In letters of application, candidates should discuss their interest in developing as a teacher and scholar in a highly selective undergraduate liberal arts college that emphasizes close student-faculty interaction. They should also discuss their potential to contribute to a college community that maintains a diversity of people and perspectives as one of its core values.
