Job Summary:
Responsible for purchasing, order management and logistics to mitigate risk and enable profitability. Aligns purchases with the business strategies and financial goals.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Execute and support overall purchasing strategy in alignment with company and sales strategy
- Drives profile of inventory according to strategy Supports sales with best possible market price (system prices and quoting for MPP products)
- Drives negotiations of Suppliers MPP/Master Quotes & deals, contributing to strategic purchasing decisions
- Authorises Customer specific prices (SBPs) and specify customer contract terms Keeps continious relationship with Sales Team
- Providing information to Purchasing Planning and Purchasing Operations regarding market conditions (Capacity, lead times, etc.)
- Drives clearance of excess inventory through active promotion to sales and suppliers
- Contributes in supplier/internal business reviews on demand
- Develops and maintains supplier relationship
- Market analysis in regards to the given product responsibility
- Establish and maintain sustainable cooperation with Supplier Marketing Follows all defined KPI's for the defined product groups and provides reports to the Management as required
- Be first level contact for all business partners with regards to defined product segments respectively assigned suppliers
Job Level Specifications:
- Purchasing goods from our suppliers for the assigned franchises by keeping focus on turns, age and availability of products
- Main contact for our sales teams, our suppliers, for the warehouse and the accounts payable department for all purchasing-related questions
- Entering order confirmations and shipping notifications / clarifying issues via SAP workflow
- Inventory optimization and reduction of excess inventory via regular stock return/scrap allowance
- Reporting: providing inventory 3 months rolling on a monthly basis
- Support RMA department and place replacement orders in case of customer returns/technical issues
- Backlog Management: continuous comparison of our orders including scheduling with our customer orders and corresponding adjustments
Work Experience:
- Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
Education and Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
