Irrigation Technician | Useless Bay Golf & Country Club
Overview: Useless Bay Golf and Country Club is a 18-hole private facility founded in 1967. The Club is located on Whidbey Island about ten minutes from downtown Langley, Washington. Useless Bay Country Club is looking for a self-motivated and qualified individual to maintain and repair our golf course irrigation system. This is a Full-Time position that will work with our Agronomy Team and Golf Course Superintendent. The golf course uses an old Rain Bird system with Nimbus II as central control.

What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
• Daily service of pipes, sprinklers, wires and controllers.
• Run tests, field inspections, troubleshoot and make major/minor repairs.
• Irrigation and drainage installation.
• Inspect, adjust and repair the systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water.
• Perform winterization and startup of irrigation systems.
• Must be able to learn and operate the computer system (Nimbus II).
The Nitty Gritty
• Prefer a minimum of two years golf course experience, with some irrigation knowledge.
• Candidate must be a leader and possess excellent communication skills.
